Our client is a leading Irish insurance brokerage with a strong reputation for delivering tailored solutions to a diverse commercial client base. Working exclusively in partnership, we are supporting the growth of their Commercial team with the appointment of an experienced Commercial Account Executive.
This is a key role within the business, focused on managing an established portfolio of commercial clients, driving retention, and ensuring an exceptional level of service across the renewal cycle. You will also have the opportunity to identify and develop new business where appropriate, contributing directly to the growth of the book.
The Role
Reporting into the Commercial Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing commercial clients, ensuring policies are renewed efficiently, accurately, and in line with client requirements.
You will act as a trusted advisor to your clients, reviewing their risk profiles, advising on appropriate coverage, and ensuring they receive best-in-class service at all times. The role requires a balance of technical insurance knowledge, relationship management, and commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of commercial insurance clients
- Lead the end-to-end renewal process, ensuring timely and accurate completion
- Provide tailored insurance advice based on client risk and requirements
- Maintain strong, long-term client relationships with a retention-first mindset
- Identify opportunities for cross-sell and new business development
- Negotiate terms with insurers to deliver optimal client outcomes
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory and internal procedures
- Stay up to date with market trends, pricing, and product developments
- Liaise with internal teams to support service delivery and operational efficiency
- Attend client meetings where required alongside senior colleagues
About You
- 2–3 years’ experience in a commercial insurance role
- CIP Qualified with up to date CPD
- Strong knowledge of the Irish commercial insurance market
- Proven experience managing renewals and client portfolios
- Confident negotiator with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Full clean driving licence preferred
